Kinda craving banh mi (I've seen some stores selling what they claim is banh mi but it's all been super janky) but roasting pork is like infinitely more trouble than I can go to but it has just occured to me that I like the ones with grilled chicken just as much and frying some chicken in tasty sauce is like a tenth of the trouble.

... now I just have to get all the other ingredients in this place-where-the-food-is-all-strange.
Google suggests that many people belive mayo-sriracha is actually the correct condiment. I can't decide if that makes the banh mi here merely mediocre rather than just nuts or if I have to redefine large sections of the internet as nuts.

(The correct condiments for proper high end banh mi, BTW, are butter, pate, and some combination of soy sauce, hoi sin sauce, and Generic Savoury Seasoning. The spice comes from sliced fresh chilli and is entirely optional)
